Margot, Principal of GS, applies her decades of applied experience in natural areas and urban forest planning and management for local governments to natural asset planning. She regularly works on multi-disciplinary teams to help local governments effectively integrate their natural features into an asset management framework. This work includes supporting the development of inventories, condition assessments, replacement costs, risk assessments, levels of service, management plans, ecosystem service valuations and financial strategies for both natural and enhanced assets.

This natural asset work has included projects for local governments and agencies in Ontario and British Columbia, as well as work at the federal level (e.g., for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and Tree Canada).
